Unfortunately you are right on this, and it really piss me off.

There are guys that completely lose their interest once they find their partners might prefer bottoming, specially if they are masculine men.

It's so dumb. Just because someone likes to bottom it doesn't mean that they are less masculine or something.

If they lose interest because their partners bottom, so they want their partners to top, so be the one who bottom? How could they think bottoming is bad then if they want it too?

Well, they see topping or bottoming not as simple sex roles (which they are) but as indicatives of ones nature, with the top generally being very agressive and masculine and the bottom submissive and feminine.

It's not that bottoming is bad, but that bottoming goes against the image of the idealized men they worship: very masculine and dominant.
