The irony is that r/badwomensanatomy and r/menwritingwomen also have fairly high crossover rates. These folks have zero self awareness.

Badwomensanatomy unironically shared the "transwomen are women" meme. Like you can't make this sh!t up lol

Yeah, I was already linking this before.

In /r/TrueLesbians overlapping subs were "/r/Periods", for example. And here - nothing about women, lol. Only trans stuff.

Over 54% of the members of a Subreddit called "actuallesbians" are men. Hilarious yet disheartening.

It is not %, it is 54 more times. It means that posters from /r/ActualLesbians are posting in /r/maleToFemale sub 54 times more than on /r/Pokemon, for example.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. Still not looking great for r/actuallesbians.

If you're curious, we did a breakdown of the AL stats about a month ago! I can find the link.

I'd like to see that, thanks!

Omg, of course they are all over the "girl gamers" sub. I have never really understood the whole "girl gamers" thing, I don't even like to call myself a "gamer" even though I play games a lot. Now it makes sense.

"Women/Girl Gamer" communities mostly appeared because regular gaming communities are often way too sexist and toxic for women, and you often need to present yourself as a male, to have good chances on playing there and being judged fairly. In many e-sports and any gaming tourneys - women are not taken to teams as well, even if we are playing better than boys (I was top 11 challenger in EU 6-7 years ago and was denied even from low grade teams, or I won top 3 in Europe in one fighting, but wasn't taken to serious tourney, even tho I could won it). So such groups were created for women to feel free to express our problems and just talke about women stuff or say our views on games and see how other women thinking about particular games. However, those communities were often attacked by men, often just with trolls, and later they were almost completely infiltrated and taken by transwomen and lib-fems who aren't even playing games much (like "I am playing SIMS once a month, I am gamer now) and streamers, who are gaining popularity by showing skin and not gameplay. So nowadays "gaming girl" communities are as toxic or even more toxic towards women than men's gaming communities, lol.

Yes, that original purpose makes a lot of sense. But like you described, it seems like it has been largely coopted by a) creepy men pressuring women to show skin or b) now infiltrated by trans-identified males, the majority of whom are fetishizing being women. Why can't they just leave us alone...

Also, that's fantastic you placed that high!! May I ask what genre/game you were competing in? I am not at all competitive myself haha, aside from a little ranked in MOBAs.

I am not competing anymore. It was more a way to lost myself after death of my beloved woman. I quit job for a while and was playing 24/7. Those were fighting games (few obscure ones I will not name as it will be self doxxing), strategies and MOBA mostly (League of Legends, Starcraft). I can play really well FPS games too, but I don't really like competitive ones, I like co-op much more, especially if I can support my team (but not being complete brainded healer like in Overwatch). In general I don't like PvP at all, even tho I am very good at it for some reason. I prefer gameplay over story as well, btw.

I am mostly playing singleplayer games. Mostly on PC (consoles and games there are extremely expensive here, only wealthy people are having consoles here, or kids who only play free to play on previous generation consoles).

Thanks for sharing, it's always interesting to see what different people like.

I'm so sorry. I really hope you're doing well these days.
