I think what "peaked" me maybe wasn't even the TQ+ people themselves, but the double standards. Around 3, 4 years ago I started noticing more and more aggressiveness and negativity towards gay men. Not only from TQ+, by the way, this also came from gay/bi men and straight/bi women (lesbian women tended to be cool). At the same time, the whole "gay men feel attracted to transmen"/"transmen are also gay" discourse started getting more popular.

And more and more I started noticing the double standards. People were being very negative towards gay men and towards gayness as a whole for poor reasons, while trans/queer men got away with doing much worse. 5, 6 years ago I saw people saying that gay men need to feel attracted to transmen, but it was a fringe viewpoint. A couple years ago, though, I saw it becoming more and more mainstream among gay groups.

Around the same time, the term "incel" was getting popular and lots of people were criticizing incel guys, or saying that this and that was an incel-like attitude. I guess this was part of the issue too, because it was kinda surreal to see people talking so much about straight incel guys but being unable to see the incel attitudes going inside of the LGBTQ+ community.

I've come to despise the term incel because everyone who uses it anymore uses it improperly. It basically just means "guy that I disagree with" now...

It's the "cis" privilege thing(doesn't exist imo. trans are not more oppressed because TRAs demand unreasonable things), combined with the more sex-excluding sexuality, combined with being a male, which may put gay men at the bottom of the rainbow alphabet heap. Which is stupid, when you consider the global acceptance statistics have gay males at the very bottom in terms of social treatment. I don't see this so called "privilege" that gays benefit from at all. Just some made-up bs.
