The Dailymail is a rag and copy-pasting the tweets of random people is not journalism, but they're the only paper that will publish stuff like this.

This is exactly how I feel about it (and similar sites) and it's a bit depressing. The only people who aren't too "woke" to publish this stuff are also the sites that are not very reputable and often full of shit in other ways. But having a bad existing reputation gives them the freedom to further post controversial stuff, I guess...

Unfortunately, it makes it difficult to get people on your side. When the Jonathan Yaniv shit first started happening, only right-wing and Christian news websites were reporting on it. The only other places mentioning him were gender critical sites. When I tried to tell people about it, they wanted a reliable source and then immediately dismissed it as bias and fear mongering. It took ages for left-wing news sources to start reporting on that predator.

This is mind boggling common nowadays. I swear if Twitter disappeared tomorrow journalism would implode like a dying star.
