It's weird because they are (presumably) into dicks themselves, so they must understand on some level why a lifeless chunk of latex is not the same as a real penis.

I saw a FTM say something along the lines of "My gay ass can't wait to get a boyfriend, I love penis!" so they can obviously understand that gay male = likes dicks, but these same people say that "genital preferences" are transphobic, wtffff

Transmen and transwomen almost never dating other transmen and transwomen. "Transgay" never want to date another "transgay", they always want men with dicks. Same as "transbians" only want real women and will not date other "transbian". There are rare exceptions, but those people often gender critical themselves and accepting their homosexuality.

From personal experience, the vast majority of "transbian"+"transbian" couples are men who (at least subconsciously) realize that no lesbian is going to fuck them, so instead they partner with each other to indulge their autogynephilia. Example: incel losers like protomagicalgirl.

For "transgay"+"transgay", it's a bit more complex. There is a portion of them (maybe the majority?) who are indeed autohomoerotic and will essentially do what I described above (settle for each other), but there are also many who are actually lesbians. There was a detransitioner lesbian on Youtube who basically said that calling yourself a "gay trans man" is, paradoxically, the only way lesbians are allowed to date other females exclusively with no repercussions and still remain in the good graces of the LGBTQIAI2S++. It's acceptable to say "I'm a trans guy and I only like dating other trans guys" instead of "I'm a female and I only like dating other females".

Yeh I think trans men dating each other is quite common.

I saw a couple the other day and they were immediately clockable. They just looked like masculine lesbians with body hair lol.

So it's not the real homosexuality that's the issue at all, it's 110% that they want trans people to have more rights than the rest of us. Call yourself trans, and nothing you do can be considered offensive.
