It's because many people don't have time to analyze each issue and arrive at their own conclusions so they just assume that their party has the correct stance.

I see this all the time with Progressive friends: They will swallow transgender activists talking points because it's part of the Democrats' platform and they're Democrats so trust that the Democratic party is correct on this issue. They don't actually think the issue through, much less think of how negative an impact it will have on their own and their children's lives.

That is, until they wake up. But at that point, these Progressive have so self-internalized a fear of "transphobia" and also know the consequences of speaking out in Progressive circles, that they stay silent.

That's why if you're a Progressive it's really important to talk to your Progressive friends. Once some of us break the silence, the dam will burst because transgender activist talking points make sense to no one, and many people are just waiting for others to speak up.
