I won't lie, I'm highly critical of trans idealogy due to current events. We're at the point where I'm even skeptical of scientific studies done on them because of poor methodology and crappy data being allowed and presented as the end all be all of the debate. I'm sure there are people who have severe dysphoria but at this point, I cannot trust that transitioning is the best course of action for them because there is just so much lying in the field. And of course it is not possible to change sex. It's just not and I'm tired of the lying about this. As for individual trans people, I deal with them the same way I deal with anyone else, we can disagree on things, but if you can't respect me as a person including my boundaries then I'm done with you. And given some of my internet interactions, some of them simply cannot do this.

Not 1:1, but I was doing some reading on New Zealand's censorship legislation/history and noticed that a movie about the "gay agenda" and a (most likely) very untrue "expose" on the AIDS crisis had its ban credited to attempting to cause harm to "Gay, Lesbian, and transgendered people".

I did a double take and attempted to find more information on it, because given that these movies came out in the very early 90s I somehow highly doubt it had even the slightest thing to do with trans people.

Unfortunately I couldn't even find a government approved list of currently forbidden material in New Zealand, so I can't continue the search any further just incase I end up with a 14 year jail sentence (or at the very least a ludicrous criminal record) for accidentally perusing illegal material.

True, true. I think I can count with just my fingers on any "positive" (or at least civil) convos and interactions I had with them... Which is sad.
