Honestly, I'd be fine with a few more age restrictions, my bigger problem is the US has basically four ages of majority. So you can be executed for killing someone at 18, drafted, vote, and sign legally binding documents, but you can't drink until 21, and you can't rent a car until 25. Oh but you can drive your own 4,000 pound machine as low as the age of 14 in the right states. Like, if you're a legal adult, you're a legal adult, drinking, drafting, renting, and voting (I understand the distinction of driving and that's fine at a separate age, cause America is so fucking big).
