I get what macdonalds is trying to do, but don’t just go spewing statements as such without stats. Yes transwomen and men are being murdered, but so are other people of colour, race, religion, etc.

Stop making it all about the trans. There are other matters that should be spoken about.

According to the FBI stats on the issue they are being killed by their 'Johns'. Nearly every case of a black trans person being murdered are prostitutes.

Also, according to the same stats, they are not being murdered at rates any different to the rest of sex worker population OR the general population at large.

Just curious—are the murder rates for transwomen (of any race) actual comparable to the murder rates of women?

They are lower in general than women (in USA it was 2.0 per 100k for transwomen+transmen of all colors versus 2.1 per 100k for women), and black transwoman are comparable to black women death rates (I don't remember numbers, but it was around 4.0-5.0, and if remove black transwomen from all statistics, rest transwomen+transmen have 1.7 for both combined, so they are the safest demographics of all). And most transwomen deaths are from prostitution. In UK on average it was one transgender killed per year. So as one article said, if 2 or 3 transgenders will be killed in one year it will be doubled or trippled death rate.

There were few articles and researches about it, debunking this myth. As it seems like transgender people killed more people than were killed themselves.

Same with suicide rates, both transwomen+transmen combined rates are slightly above than women rates, and much lower than gay or lesbian suicide rates.

You are welcome. And be aware, that transgender death rate is combined for both transmen and transwomen, there no separate statistics. So separated death rate should be at least two times lower for one of them.

In the UK, the numbers are the same as cis women once you take into account the deaths from sex work. We have not had one hate crime death in record. I think a couple may have been killed after tricking straight guys.

They die at about half the cis male rate. It's the same in America and all over.

It's utter bullshit that they get killed en masse by hate crimes. It's why the deaths from Brazil get rolled into them. And even then they are still ciswomen normal, it's just Brazil has a stupidly high murder rate.

No, the numbers are easy to find. Just google FBI crime stats and the types of demographics you require to know about. I did the math for the last year months ago and posted to /r/lgbdropthet RIP, bottom line is no they are not being murdered at rates different to the murder rates of any other demographic or group.

Yes, because in modern society, we should be focusing on reducing the murder rate in the single demographic in the world that is least likely to be killed by many orders of magnitude. We definitely shouldn't be focusing on male suicide (and suicide in general) or the murder of black people, or mass violence or terrorism or insurgency/warfare or anti-gay violence (hell even anti-trans violence outside the US, cause let's be honest, they are referring to the US and W. Europe in this) around the globe... stupid me... edit: what about trans men? Like are we just gonna act like no trans man has ever been killed? Cause I never hear anything about not murdering trans men, only trans women...
