People really need to understand that you can't and shouldn't be accepted into literally every space, regardless of what gender identity or sexual orientation you have. As a gay guy i know I wouldn't be accepted in a lesbian bar/club, literally everyone with more than one brain cell would realize that and not have a fucking problem with it.

To me, it ties into ableism. They don't want to be called disabled or different, so they are seeking to redefine gender itself and butt in on exclusive spaces so that they don't have to acknowledge it. They are even trying to get dysphoria removed from the DSM.

I have medical problems with my legs. If I did want to become an athlete, I would have to accept that I would never be able to and that I couldn't expect the major leagues to reformat sports to include me. Transgender women, by contrast, will NOT accept that they have biological differences that preclude them from fair sport. Instead of taking their lumps and fitting in with the "Disabled" label with people like me, they have fits.

Instead of taking their lumps

Not to highjack your comment, but this is something I've thought too, but not necessarily exclusive to sports or related to disabilities. I wouldn't give two shits about trans people if they realized that being trans was their cross to bear. I wouldn't care about trans women if they stayed in male specific spaces and didn't try to claim they were actually "women" or "female." If they accepted the possible stares or jeers when they went in the mens room was something they would just have to live with and get over if they wanted to transition, they would be fine. Instead they want to live their fetish AND put women in more danger by doing so. Which obviously earns them a lot more contempt and pushback than if they were going about things the other way.

Life's not fair and life sucks for a lot of people for a lot of reasons. Trans people are making it even harder for us to accept them by INSISTING that the whole of society drastically re-arrange and redefine itself so they don't have to bear the slightest hit to their ego/ emotions, while they get EVERYTHING THEY WANT as well! Fuck off with that!

Like, I'm a fucking fatass covered in stretch marks. If I had the gnawing desire to wear a bikini to the beach I would HAVE to accept the fact that some people would laugh at me or think my body is disgusting, and I would HAVE to learn to let it roll off my back and ignore those people if I still insisted on wearing the bikini. It would be a lot easier and more emotionally mature than yelling "fatphobia!" and fighting every single person who snickered behind my back. But most trans people aren't really willing to live with the drawbacks of "being their authentic selves." They're the type who would pick a fight with every damn person on the beach to prove a point, and then insist they were justified. The worst ones can't even accept the fact that some people won't want to date/ have sex with them after transition!

You're so on point! Well put. Sometimes I feel like the trans rights movement is looking to restrict everyone who is not trans. Since they're not actually lacking any civic rights in the Western world.
