I'm a mod here and was there, I'm keeping my account on Reddit and I'll be keeping an eye out for people who are attacked for wrong think on the main Trans infiltrated subs and I'll be private messaging to let them know about this place.

Everyone can still let LGB people know that there is a community for them, by them, and run in their interest, but we just need to be smart about it.

Yes, please do. I think the LGB community needs to know that there are safe spaces for them. Thank you for making a backup for us, otherwise we wouldn't have anywhere else to go. Everything is gone, all communities for lesbians, gays and bisexuals have just disappeared.

They've not gone, they're here.

Let people know, you're not alone.

That's a great idea! On posts about J. K. Rowling, I saw a number of people get shouted down for saying that they didn't think that what she said was offensive or incorrect.

I'm gonna stay in reddit subs that sometimes talk about lgbt and advertise for saidit lgbdropthet

Nice one.

That's a good idea, I'll keep an eye out for it too. It's really easy to feel like we don't have a place in the world anymore, and important to make sure others like us know they aren't alone.

Advertise on twitter as well and other platforms if you can. Spread the word.

Agree with you we should keep our Reddit account there to help other LGB people know that there is a place for them somewhere else where they can have a discussion without being policed by the "wrong-think" police everywhere they go on Reddit

This was an extreme move by Reddit that will ultimately be a good thing. It peaked a lot of people who were on the fence and didn't previously see TRA as the threat it was to LGB rights. It blasts to smithereens the argument that trans people are the most discriminated against. It's coming at a time where more people are peaking on Twitter and are vocally questioning trans orthodoxy.

tl;dr: Reddit martyred us and now Reddit and the TRAs have no control over our speech.

It's easy to be straight & support this shit because the trans are not invading their dating apps or inventing sayings like "cotton ceiling" to describe straights who won't sleep with them. It is a targeted attack on a community that's already marginalized (us). Our dating pools are ALREADY fucking limited by being a minority and they're making it damn near impossible for some of us to not only find partners but just socialize with like-minded gay people.

And if you're a straight man supporting this shit in 2020? Fuck you. You've sacrificed N O T H I N G to appear woke in this battle. Not your safety in domestic violence or rape crisis shelters, your hard-earned achievements in sports, your privacy in sex-segregated spaces or anything else. You don't get a say & if you do open your mouth whatever falls out is automatically worth less than anyone who is directly affected.

[–]pacmanla 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, but they do attempt to come at heterosexuals. As a heterosexual male, I don't know anyone who supports this nonsense, & unfortunately, many heterosexuals don't even know that TRAs are forcing themselves on LGB. Sadly, they just lump the T in with LGB. My theory why it seems that TRAs don't come after heterosexuals, is because we don't really have a straight "community". So straight people aren't gaslit into supporting any particular thing, in the name of "inclusion".

stop promoting your harmful hormone treatments to children

What gets me the most is that there's no way that the complete lack of information regarding the (very) dangerous side effects of hormone replacement therapy is just an unhappy coincidence. Stories like Buck Angel's, and data on use of HRT to alleviate the symptoms of menopause suggest that there are very serious consequences to extended use of HRT, and that's not even getting started about the gristly reality of SRS. But they're quietly swept under the rug.

Why? There's no compassion in leaving things like increased risk of cancer, atrophy of reproductive organs, and the maintenance required on reassigned genitals to be a surprise once the life altering decision is already made. Even if we say that there isn't enough data to suggest that the above are common occurrences, how is it progressive to use human beings as test animals?

It really just doesn't make sense to me. Every involved party is in danger here. Why is this happening? Who stands to gain from all of this? From where I'm standing, it doesn't look like anyone does.

It is all about the money. Big pharma and other companies are making lots of money using humans as test animals. I found a good article, albeit in a right-leaning website but we need all the help that we can get. Hope it’s ok to post it:

Who are the rich white men institutionalizing transgender ideology?

https://thefederalist.com/2018/02/20/rich-white-men-institutionalizing-transgender-ideology/

It's also currently a $300m industry - projected to be $1.5b by 2026 - https://www.gminsights.com/industry-analysis/sex-reassignment-surgery-market

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

while I sometimes think big pharma can harm others (like misdiagnosing people with Lyme disease as schizophrenia), the medication that I have taken has helped me in my life. I had really bad asthma when I was a toddler and a kid (currently in remission), and I also have treated eczema and depression, and it has helped me throughout my life. Are there some horrible doctors? Yes. Are all of them bad? No.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Of course not. I am specifically talking about the emerging industry that is more than happy to make a buck on the backs of children, teens and adults that instead of dealing with developmental or mental health issues of identity, are medicating and performing surgeries to make a buck in this new, big money industry.

[–]Bogos 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That’s a good point, given the fact that mental illness in general is preferentially treated with medication, often foregoing therapy completely .

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, ok.

I honestly think TRA's are far less organised and self-aware than many on here believe. There is a conspiracy theory that all extreme TRA's are trying to erase gay, lesbian and bisexual people as some kind of planned, organised endgame. That gives them far too much credit! In the vast majority of cases, I believe extreme TRA's start off being well-intentioned, but are then brainwashed into an ideology that inclusiveness and validation is more important than anything in the LGBT community. They don't realise the effects of their ideology, and they think they are the good guys, the tolerant and virtuous ones defending transgender people. It's like a religion, they are just sheep following an ideology that got out of hand.

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It’s a cult and they have downed the koolaide. There is no end in sight. The Reddit bannings emboldened them. They are far from done.

I do believe it is a concerted effort. The money underneath the visible ugliness that we see, is big money. As the articles I posted show, it already is a $300 million business, projected to reach $1.5 billion by 2026.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Oh you sweet summer child. None of this would be happening if they weren't organized.

[–]les4leshomonormative 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

There's gotta be a strong distinction here between the money (older transwomen in tech and politics and their allies) and the masses (teenagers identifying as stargender on tumblr dot com)

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's a non sequitur. Is there a difference between people who genuinely suffer from gender dysphoria and those who are using it as a fad or worse a perversion? Yes. That doesn't mean the latter isn't organized.

[–]Jamiethiel2018 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yep, the children, strongly encouraged to go the whole 9 yards, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, major surgeries that remove healthy tissue vs. the adults who can simply announce their new "gender" & maybe dress up and/or wear make up.

Look at these poor kids, see we were born this way! It's so damn cynical.

The TQ+ community honestly makes me wish I was just straight, they are a fucking hassle to deal with and they don't deserve to have their mental illness validated, nor should they be congratulated for disempowering LGB culture.

Being straight would, at best, only have given you a short respite. These people are NEVER satisfied, nothing will placate them, nothing is ever enough. Personally, my biggest fear is that when the backlash finally comes, because they have subverted many LGBTQ+ communities, it won't actually be the TQ+ that gets targeted. They are, after all a small minority, even in the LGBTQ+.

No, it will be the LGB that get hit with the brunt of the ire caused by the TQ+, and you can bet the TQ+ won't hesitate to try to use the LGB as their meatshield.

Worse still, unless more of the LGB wake up, start speaking up against the TQ+ insanity, take steps to clearly and publicly distancing from the TQ+ demands and agenda, and basically stop providing cover for them, it won't be entirely undeserved.

This may paint me out as a legitimate transphobe, but I am genuinely scared of these people and what they are doing (including trans people) to get their message across.

They are trying to force the whole world into conforming to their disgusting views on sexual orientation and gender identity, and those who are actually gay, lesbian and bisexual are going to suffer as a result. I'm scared the world is going to slip back into it's old ways and the LGB community will continue to be discriminated against as much as we were before, since transitioning is now legal in more states than being homosexual.

I'm scared that something I was born as and can't be rid off will soon once again become illegal where I live in government efforts to appease the TRA's (gay marriage became legal only a few years ago in my country).

I'm scared that my sexuality will soon have literally no meaning and will rip those who choose to associate themselves with the label of any simple way to explain who they are attracted to.

I'm scared that the LGB youth will have to be subjected to the seemingly inevitably wide-spreading discriminatory tactics that are being used against people to rid them of their sexuality.

There's so many things that I'm afraid will become normalised in terms of homo and biphobia, but I can't sum them up in this one post. I'm just genuinely afraid of the future ahead of me.

[–]Jamiethiel2018 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yep, & on my good days I do have sympathy for trans medicalists, who do want gatekeeping & do not deny biology. Unfortunately very few can publicize their postion. While that's a relief to see, even though biology isn't denied, some do think their sexual orientation changes with transition. The logic escapes me. Seems a massive contradiction to accept you're a man, but base orientation on your gender.

Well don't you know? Homosexuality is literally violence against the trans. /s

I'm not sure if the ban is good or not. My hope is that the ban waves will motivate people to seek other platforms, ones that have respect for freedom of speech, and do not attempt to dictate to the public which is the ''correct and true and the only acceptable'' political opinion. But I doubt that many will do that. The Reddit echochamber will make even more young people uncritically believe in the trans dogma, since the other side of the debate has been removed.

[–]DimDroog 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

The TQ+ community honestly makes me wish I was just straight.

I am so sorry.

It's funny how they never bother straight people.

[–]davids877Straight Male Man 17 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I'd say they rarely bother straight men. They're absolutely going after all women. Most of them are straight men and would know what sort of pushback if they tried their shit with other straight men.

[–]DimDroog 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

They aren't bothering straight women either.

I'm only seeing LGB folks harassed!

[–]davids877Straight Male Man 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I'm thinking of the bathroom issues, the Jonathan Yaniv issue, the men in women's sports issues. Not quite to the level of their harassment of Lesbian(and bi) women but still plenty of it out there.

[–]DimDroog 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ahh, gotcha!

I think it is going to backfire in a spectacular way, sooner or later.

I'm going to tell my straight friends about the banwave and hopefully get some support. At the very least, it'll be in the back of their minds when they see something they might not have recognized as homophobia, and we might have some more voices out there that those on the fence may listen to

[–]lovelyles 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Do we have receipts of the hateful rhetoric targeted to lesbians from the actuallesbians group?

[–]wendyokoopa1 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Don't forget that transgender have infiltrated women's health care and now made sure we get our basic needs pushed down and when we fight back we get gas lit.
