I know, we kept promising for more than 2 years ... we're close to opening, we're almost there, nearly there this time folks ...

At long last, here we are!

For the time being, this sub will operate in Restricted Mode. That means only Approved submitters can post topics, but anyone with a SaidIt account can comment. As time goes on, we do hope to lift this restriction and be open for all, but our moderator team has shrunk significantly and we don't anticipate it growing any time soon. We'll let you know if or when that changes though!

I've added a number of users to the pre-Approved submitter list to begin, and will add more users as time goes on. If you would prefer to not an Approved submitter, just decline the invitation. You'll still be able to comment in this sub, you just won't be able to post. Do note though, if we ever need to go private for some reason, you will not be able to see behind the closed doors. So you may as well stay on the list since you're a trusted user or ally :)

There are still a few things on my plate to accomplish, but I figured we could go ahead and open without them:

• User flairs (see sticky comment below for the current list, and to add suggestions)
  
• Resize the "LGB" text in the banner for easier clicking back into the sub
  
• Clean-up the sidebar icon (it's workable, but not as precise artistically as we want, and I'm no graphic designer)
  
• Review the Wiki and update any needed pages (did a couple already, but most haven't been touched for 2+ years)
  
• Continually futz with CSS to clean up little irksome things (I'm not so great at this, so it's low priority)
