You actually have to commit a crime to be punished for it. That should be obvious.

It's not because a lot of people support finding and killing pedos, a la witch hunts.

If you support sterilization based on pedo genes, that may not be death, but it's still punishing thought crime. Steralizing convicted pedos is not really considered eugenics, it's more like corporal punishment. And it's usually castration that is advocated for.

It is important not to confuse protecting the citizenry with punishing the outliers. We have borders not because we wish to punish those on the outside, but because we wish to protect those outside, for example.

What does that mean? Are you saying that you support killing pedos as long as it is framed as "protecting the children" rather than "punishing the pedo"?

I support the death penalty for pedophilia.

If you allow your opinions to be shaped by how an action is framed then you allow yourself to be easily manipulated. This is a fundamental cause for people becoming the useful idiots used by groups like BLM and Antifa. They believe they are the good guys because the propaganda frames the evil actions of the group in ways that justifies it for the useful idiots.

This:

You actually have to commit a crime to be punished for it. That should be obvious.

Is a direct contradiction of this:

I support the death penalty for pedophilia.
