the elite losers that own the world (satan) elevated super losers to positions of power (power mods!)

the super losers (real losers in every sense as they are literally tools that only benefit when the elite gives) are haters of life, and as such destroy whatever they touch as they spew they worthless 'opinion' and destroy everyone else's

the media is fill with super losers as 'reporters'

reddit is filled with super losers at the top, as are most other major web presences

most users are oblivious to the super loser core, and are therefor confused when anger/hatred/stupidity are all that are left on the internet.. it is because the super losers cultivated it that way (with the blessing of the loser elite)

because the loser elite are literally satan incarnate. satan always promises you the world and gives you a bowl of shit and says 'this is your world now'

Nothing really feels new

It was regurgitated shit in 2009 too, but you were a stupid little shit so it was new to you. Part of getting old is having to deal with all the new trending memes that you saw 10 years ago. The solution is to get deeper into things that interest you. The drawback is that the group of people who also went deeper into that particular interest is a tiny fraction of the people who age out of being impressed by the pop culture bullshit. Welcome to your nich interest community.

Pro tip, don't try to share your nich interest with people who are not ready for it.

I don't encounter the same memes from browsing the web as what I saw in 2009. I visited 4chan at the time and it was great. But over the years it became shittier so I eventually stopped visiting, and haven't encountered exactly the same humour elsewhere. In many places it's a watered down version of it. Having fun at the expense of others is frowned upon. I look at my old 4chan folders now and then and laugh my ass off. It really was much better than what we get now. I love Foul Bachelor Frog and Courage Wolf, among others.

I feel the same way, but I can't figure out whether it's because the Internet got worse or because life is just less interesting once you're out of your twenties.

There's nothing left to learn.

There's a bazillion things to learn. Pick any course from this page.

Those free courses are almost always undergraduate level and as such a complete waste of time.

Also, just because I could learn the name of every plant in existence, doesn't mean I care one bit about that.

Thanks for trying, but it's unlikely we can relate to each other.

Time to start teaching then.

Would you? Deep down I consider teaching people a waste of time.

I try. Sometimes it seems futile.

"You can't teach an old dog new tricks" is one of the most depressing sayings, because it suggests a kind of arrogance towards even attempting to learn something, especially in a domain in which they presumably want to accomplish something.

It's like people want to build a nuclear reactor, but they don't want to learn about the atom.
