Speaking as a millennial, cool internet shit exists. But ppl find the cool shit and then complain because there is no algorithm doing the heavy lifting for them. It's like everyone forgot that the old internet didn't have algorithm. So you had to curate your own experience.

So sometimes these ppl find sites that decently replicate the old internet experience. And then they bitch and moan that they come into contact with ppl outside of their echo chamber. And/or they bitch and moan that they have to actually work and dig a little to curate a feed that suits them. They are boring algorithm addicts who love the convenience dumb shit like Facebook provides for them.

The convenience made them lazy. You literally cannot have the old internet if you want algorithmic convenience. The two cannot coexist. Someone will inevitably take advantage of it and exploit your experience.

So yea we have plenty of places to scroll. I like this particular forum. I enjoy spacehey. I like neocoties. Each of these are literally clones of older internet experiences. But with these sites comes no algorithm and potential to encounter ppl I disagree with or find obnoxious. God forbid tho. Thats life, right?

So yea, do some research and it's there. It doesn't quickly show up in Google and you can't just create an account and have a plethora of stuff you like immediately in front of you.

I don't have patience for ppl like this. They will complain about the big sites but then join the little ones and complain about it not being an algorithmic site in the same breath.
