I'm going to try this as well. I'd prefer to use something like gopher, but I have trouble finding information there. Not only for lack of content, but the search engines seem pretty bad as well. As for links: if you simply refuse to use anything that doesn't work in it, perhaps with the exception of certain web apps you need, you're also saving a lot of time. He doesn't explain how he uses uses Invidious with links, but I'm imagining he has it loaded by mpv (in combination with youtube-dl). This works with most video platforms, so there's loads of content you can access without ever seeing JS.
