A local wealthy religious family decided their son wasn't churchy enough so they fired him from the family business and cut him off financially. He gets married and has children...who he keeps away from his parents in retaliation for kicking him to the curb. They sue the son for visitation rights to their grandchildren and generally try to use their wealth to force their son to cave. The grandparents lose spectacularly in court and get their names smeared all over the local media. They never did get to enjoy their grandchildren.
