A local wealthy religious family decided their son wasn't churchy enough so they fired him from the family business and cut him off financially. He gets married and has children...who he keeps away from his parents in retaliation for kicking him to the curb. They sue the son for visitation rights to their grandchildren and generally try to use their wealth to force their son to cave. The grandparents lose spectacularly in court and get their names smeared all over the local media. They never did get to enjoy their grandchildren.

Very interesing. A lot of economic data to think about here. Toward the end, she notes that - because India is a Democracy - laws take many years ot pass. But there are other democracies that have no problem passing laws. The problem is endemic corruption at all levels, which she also mentions. The legal system is also useless, with lawsuites taking years. Endemic corruption, a terrible legal system, theocratic extremism and severe income inequality are four of the most serious problems holding India back. These are four areas that China has improved on somewhat over the years, though these problems also exist in China.

I am always surprised when I see India's problems with the sand niggers. Why didnt they all move to Pakisan? It is a Sand Nigger Paradise!

The question - whether Muslim girls have the right to wear the hijab to class - is now in court. The row has sparked violence, divided campuses and stopped a number of Muslim girls in Karnataka from attending classes.

The BBC spoke to Muslim women across India who say they feel angry about the "intrusive nature" of the debate.

"We are constantly reminded that to be accepted, we must give up our religion," said one woman from Delhi. What is drowned out by the public outcry, they say, is the intensely personal nature of their choice.

Those who choose to wear the hijab say it is not solely a religious decision, but one born out of reflection. And those who choose not to wear it say their hair is not a barometer for their faith.

The women and children were drugged and then the carriages were locked from the inside by their own husbands who left from the side openings or emergency windows (and then probably locked those too). When the fire started, those who must have tried to escape would have been too confused to figure out another exit other than the main doors and got burnt.

It's strange that one can see in the photo evidence of the mass cremations, and yet make incredibly stupid comments about psyops, cremation requirements, body fat, wood requirements, etc, etc. It would be impossible to have a conversation on /pol/, seems to me. Moreover, there are videos, other news articles, information about families now allowed to bury bodies in their backyards, Twitter deleting news articles that are cricical of the Indian government, and so much more. It's big news, and all these idiots on /pol/ can do is make the dumbest statements I've seen on a website. How did this happen? Political rallies had a major role in this, and people with low incomes had to return to work or starve. This is the kind of income inequality many will face in the US unless there are substantial improvements to wages, access to healthcare, access to affordable housing, better jobs, &c.

Another chance to develop life for everyday Indians squandered

Another chance to develop squander life for everyday Indians

The poor rarely have bank accounts.
[They already destroyed small currency denominations in India.

Why India wiped out 86% of its cash overnight

The great reset hit India 5 years ahead of the rest of the world.

Many probably jumped into crypto, and are now relatively wealthy, and free of the banksters system.

They can't have that, but it's too late.

I bet Monero is huge in India.

This will eventually happen here in West.

People need to read the tea leaves, and plan for the worst.

Very legit, they've done a lot of breaking news that other sites followed with. I wouldn't expect a lot of anti-Hindi news to ever escape India.

"an inch closer" -- India is not likely to bomb anyone unless they attack us first. Just like any other rational country. The whole thing is glorified as propaganda to get the civilians to hate each other's countries. Majority of the Indians do not care and do not have anything legitimately solid against Pakistani civilians.

All the info I said can be verified by Google searches.I summed it up to tell you about the real baddies. Its not as complicated as the Palastien fiasco.Complications are caused by War.To understand it,I suggest you read wiki pages of 1947 India Pak war, then of 1965 war,1971 war followed by 1999 Kargil war and the 2001 Parliament Attack, 2008 Mumbai attack,2016 pathankot attack, Uri Attack, 2016 surgical Strike and end it with Pulwama Attack and 2019 Balakot Strike.A good read will show you who the real aggressor is.I basically summed up several hours of reading into a paragraph.

Well.Conflict started in 1947 when British left India and Pakistan was made. All the princely states had freedom to join India, Pakistan or remain independent.Pakistan was founded as a separate Muslim nation. Many states joined India and Pakistan except the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The king of the state,Maharaja Hari Singh was a hindu but the state had major Muslim population (71%). Pakistan was expecting Kashmir to join Pakistan due to Muslims and India expected it to join India as the state functioned under guidelines of British India prior Independence.Hari Singh was more inclined independent state.Pakistan seeing this, sent local rebels to invade and takeover Kashmir. As the assault begun, Hari Singh asked India for Independence.India at first did not and said that it cannot intervene in matters of other country and so Hari Singh signed an instrument of accession handing over Jammu and Kashmir to India and added a provision that after the war, people of the state will decide as to which side they want to be with. After signing, India sent its Army and fought the invaders. In 1948, India asked UN for assistance and a ceasefire was finally declared with Part Kashmir in Pakistan's control and part with The UN security council asked all Pakistani forces to leave Jammu and Kashmir along with rebels and Pakistani nationls. It also asked India to withdraw most of its men except a few to maintain law and order. The Indian troops were also needed to ensure smooth voting under the provision in which citizens would decide which side they want to be with.India agreed to withdraw if Pakistan will do first since it initiated the war..Pakistan rejected the proposal stating that it is unsure India would withdraw. No side withdrew and that sums up the dispute between the two countries. No voting was done as none of the two sides would withdraw.India gave the state of Jammu and Kashmir autonomy until its fate was decided.Autonomy included septate construction, seperate financial resources allocation and other things. The Government of India could not even implement a law in state with state's assembly's permission. Ever since then India found 3 wars with them. In1965 war, some 40,000 Pakistani soldiers dressed as locals and started settings up positions in various towns India got an early tip off and planned ahead.Pakistan and India fought hard and good with Pakistan capturing significant territory in Kashmir and Indian men entering Lahore and close to Pakistani capital Islamabad.Ceasefire was declared by UN. India won this war. In 1971 war: Pakistan was in two parts back then.East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and west Pakistan.Due to not much freedom in east Pakistan, east Pakistan kind of became rebilliios and so Pakistani infantry started massacre against the population of east Pakistan especially targeting Hindus.Refugees started fleeing to India and so, India started to stop this massacre.India prepared for several months with tensions mounting in Pakistan that India will Attack it.As months passed,it was certain that India will attack and so Pakistan decided to bomb India first to gain upper hand (India was prepared and was waiting for Pakistan to initiate)As soon as the Pakistani bombs hit, India declared war with Indian Navy deploying its carriers and other assets destroying harbour, Indian Army and Air Force entering east Pakistan. The entire war lasted 13 days .97,000+ Pakistani troops were captured, new nation of Bangladesh was made and India capture 5,800sq miles of land in west Pakistan (current Pakistan) but later returned it as goodwill gesture. In 1999 War: Pakistani soldiers dressed as militants entered Indian land and set up posts in Himalayan mountains in winters. Before this, there was an understanding that both Nation abandoned their High Altitude outposts in harsh winter and come back in summer.Pakistan used this agreement to advantage and set up posts. The Battle was then initiated.Pakistan denied that it was its men who were engaged in battle but ID cards of dead soldiers indicated otherwise. The war was bloody as India decided not to cross the international border but attack the hills headon.India finally did capture the mountains . Pakistan denied its involvement and even refused to take bodies of its men who were then burried with honours by Indian Soldiers

This pretty much sums up

This conflict goes back much farther than that.

IMHO this is and has been the most dangerous hot spot in the world for a long time - also under reported.

As bad as all the crap in the Middle East and beyond, at least they're not dueling with nukes.

Well..I will tell you what happened in brief and you can decide who is responsible. On 14 feb,A Terrorist rammed an SUV on an Indian Convoy (all personnel were off duty going to their duty stations after coming from leave). The Convoy had 2,800 personnel and in the VBIED blast,43 men were killed.India blamed Pakistan for the attack which Pakistan denied. However,A Pakistan Based Terrorist Group Jaish E Mohammad took responsibility of the attack.Jaish E Mohammad was a political party few years ago in Pakistan but got banned due to pressure from UN.Jaish however just changed its name and has again become a political party who even contested in recent election. After the attack,India was furious at Pakistan for not taking action against Terrorists and Arming them.Fast forward a few days later and on 26 feb,India launched an Air Raid and bombed Terrorist Training Camps inside disputed territory. The most talked about place to bomb was Balakot inside Pakistan which is a well known Terrorist training camp.2004 CIA leaked document had a special report on it.The camp is more of an academy with swimming pool, gyms, shooting range etc to train Terrorists and commanders. In response to this email, Pakistan on the very next day sent its Aircraft comprising of Mirage 5,JF 17 and F 16 to bomb Indian Military Bases as a tit for tat thing. Its attack was however intercepted by Indian Air Cover and Pakistani planes did not hit the intended Military buildings but bombs landed in the compound of their Army's Brigade HQ, Company HQ and one outpost.India scrambled Mig21,Su30 and Mirage 2000 to intercept the Pakistani Aircrafts.Mig 21s being the closest were first to engage and a dogfight ensured between the Indian Mig 21s and Pakistani F16s(providing Air Cover).. During the combat, Indian Mig 21 was shot down by F16 but one Pakistani F16 was shot down by Indian Mig-21 as well. The Indian Pilot after ejecting on Indian Territory drifted to Pakistani territory where he was captured. To put pressure on Pakistan to return its pilot, India deployed a fleet comprising of Aircraft Carrier, Destroyers and Subs close to Pakistan to pressure them in returning the pilot(Pakistan wanted to use pilot as a chip to initiate talks with India which were suspended since 2016 Airbase Attack).Indian Stand is that it Attached Pakistani Terrorist Camps without attacking military target and Pakistan should have appricited it but instead, Pakistan attacked its Military Base.Pakistan says that it has nothing to do with Jaish E Mohammad (however in a recent interview, Pakistan's foreign minister said the the head of Jaish is in Pakistan but ill) and since India violated its territory, Pakistan has every right to do the same.
