Operational Expenses Percentage Bar - For SaidIt?

Today I got an update email from Gab News. Usually I just file it away unread, but the headline grabbed my attention so I opened it. But that's not what this is about.

At the bottom of the email was this image that links to the Gab Dissenter webstore.

If magnora7 and d3rr are interested, under your supervision, I would be happy to whip up some graphics to your specs, that you could display as you see fit. Maybe these donation ads could disappear once achieved each month - or you could keep them up and save for rainy days, code bounties, lawyers fees, good causes, or whatever.

Maybe other folks have other ideas, or can improve on this.

    The idea is good. The donation bar on Tildes.net is pretty good. It could be an inspiration.

    Did OP hear anything further in response to this idea? I like it. It’s almost like involving users in achieving a common goal.

    I understand why the admins refuse to advertise or even remotely seem influenced, and that's noble. But to be honest, I don't know why M7D3 don't make it a little easier to contribute, by making the donate button more apparent than just at the footer, such as in the sidebar or header.

    I've also suggested they could survey the people to ask about features, then determine a price, and offer a code bounty reward, and then they could check over the code and implement it. Maybe I'm over simplifying by a mile.
