Just listened to a guy talk about future fuel sources mentioning Hydrogen to power a Nuclear Fusion reactor. It would be near zero point energy or something like that. With nuclear waste being Helium.

Coal is an energy source. Hydrogen is an energy storage system. Producing hydrogen requires more energy than you get from burning it. It might be a useful energy storage system, but it is not the coal of the future.
