Some scriptures recommend that if you are single, remain single.

But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

1 Corinthians 7:28

Because early Christians expected the world to end in their own lifetimes.

Their time in this world did end. Your time in this world will also end soon.... you are not guaranteed another day, so you would be wise to prepare for the end and your departure from the flesh. Your choices here determine your position in eternity and it is not too late for you to make amends and improve your hereafter.

Marriage is challenging in every generation. God's word tells us that if a man is married, he will work to please his wife. If a woman is married, she will work to please her husband. Men and women are often distracted away from God by the world, to please other people instead of striving to please their God and Creator. If a person is single, it would be good to remain single, and seek God with all their heart.
