But that's not all. Ok, so the article begins by describing how the national leadership wants to centralize the organization more, which a lot of the state affiliates object to. That's an old discussion that many groups have seen and both sides have points. Then it goes on to the issue of ethnic representation. Minority women tend to be affected more by abortion restrictions, but the leadership is and has been mostly european. NARAL promises to do better. But you know what's coming next, right?

NARAL also plans to hire a top-level officer focused on equity and inclusion, and in its work, it will no longer center the experiences of cis, female, middle and upper-class white individuals to the exclusion of others.

Yeah, who is it that gets abortions again?

Any bets on what the leadership is going to look like in two years? I'm guessing that instead of adding minorities, it's going to subtract women.

“...no longer center the experiences of..females...” is the most offensive bit. Even in something like abortion rights, where ONLY women can have one, we are being abandoned and erased. It’s so disheartening.
