I should dig up the 'Same Drugs' Meghan Murphy podcast where she reads Gwen Benaway's poetry. It was so hilariously cringe. Gwen appears to be an autogynephile and his poetry is full of graphic descriptions of himself receiving penetrative sex with sexual organs he doesn't have, with a lot of 'noble savage' fetishism mixed in.

The irony is that while Canada has doubled down on affirming gender identity ideology, we've become extremely hostile to 'cultural appropriation' and false claims of Native heritage. There is a scandal right now over a successful filmmaker who falsely claimed Native ancestry and received aboriginal grants because of it.

Gwen may well get 'de-platformed' for the false racial identity claims, but of course there's no way to challenge his gender identity.

Gwen Benaway is extra special, being both a tim and, supposedly, part american indian. He's a writer who's been featured in a lot of niche publications and recently won an award. He's recognized as a leader and speaker for indigenous communities and their experiences of racial oppression. And he's two spirited. Or sometimes two hearted.

Despite the resentment of his apparently false tribal claims, most of the posters in the conversation were careful to respect the twaw commandment. Eventually Gwen joined in person and said that he got his indigenity from being adopted.

His mini bio now says: Gwen Benaway is a trans woman who identifies as being of Anishnaabe and Métis descent.

Aha, there it is: identifies. Once you say that, no one is allowed to argue anymore.

I had never heard of this man so I looked. His Wiki is like "Welcome to Woke Wiki" and his photos --- he's a white man. A white man in a pink top. Of COURSE he's faculty at the university. Your tax dollars at work.
