Good article.

Transgender activists tend not to accept that this is unfair. When asked what she thought about transgender girls with undiminished levels of testosterone racing against female runners and trouncing them (as has happened in at least one state with such a policy) Ms Byard of GLSEN said, “But they are girls! They are girls. Men don’t compete in women’s sports.”

But what about all the trans men who do compete in women's sports and want to continue competing in them because they know they can't compete against biological males? It's so frustrating that these activists will ignore reality whenever it's convenient for them to do so.

The Economist has been my favorite magazine for the last 15 years and I am so relieved they have not let us down here. An acquaintance worked there briefly and said they had quite a few young LGB & feminist staff which I’m sure helps.
