I used part of my home office time to binge on Designated Survivor. The first two seasons were fabulous, great leads including the fantastic Maggie Q as Hannah Wells, more fabulous female characters, and a great general ensemble. Good stories, nicely done plots, suspense and intrigue and brainy in places on top. I enjoyed it.
And then came season 3. Apparently Netflix had bought the show, and apparently the trans/intersectionality force strong is with the Netflix, to cite Yoda. It was immediately noticeable, from the first episodes of season 3 on.
Suddenly SJW topics are more important than the premise of the plot - including acing several women (Hannah Wells included) yet adding a trans sister-in-law to the president. And of course we get the TERF-moment, were some purposefully, artificially uglified and old "biddy" (because feminists and GC women are all like that) jumps upon the beautiful trans Sasha to push her out of the women's bathroom in the White House. And even the president later has his TERFy moment and kowtows. Never mind all the other SJW moments which all were hamfistedly in the face of the audience. The saintly trans and her trans fans of course bore this all in a feminine, teary-eyed and Mother Maria style forgiving manner.
The ignominious, idiotic end of Hannah Wells on top of all this left me angry like hell. But that's not why I ranted.
Do any of you ever ask yourselves how deeply entrenched this has become? I mean, there they take over an excellent enough prime time TV series and fill it to the brim with trans and SJW issues? A series not even geared to having these issues naturally? Where it must be terribly clunkily shoehorned in? This sort of leaves me speechless and doubting we have any chance at beating it.
What say you?
