why is violence wrong?

straight up question. A dead enemy is no longer giving you grief. A robber with his fingers removed cannot steal.

I'm not 100% convinced that we are not always ruled by violence or the threat of violence, we just don't see it in the west, as its just 'the law'

Violence is generally bad because it leads to more violence, by reducing the value of a human being, that's my general reasoning. The law and the state are also violent institutions. We expect police and military to ward off threats, but when they start abusing the power against us, the results are horrifying.

I've come to the conclusion that humans are just fucked up nasty creatures in their nature.This is why I am not having kids, just waiting for an asteroid, nukes or a real pandemic to kill us off.
