It was a little weird. I was probably one of the more liberal people there and I was the only one not wearing a mask. We all stayed outside in the cold. But it was good, I saw my brother and his family as well as my parents. We had a nice fire going. Great food, nobody got too drunk and fought over politics or religion.

It was also the first year my wife and I didn't spend every last cent on presents. I have come to hate Christmas poverty, really makes the holiday stressful and awful.

As is tradition I gave my brother something rooster themed. Started it years ago. Every year I give him some cock. This year it was a galvanized steel welded rooster statue that was about a foot and a half tall. What's really, really awesome about this tradition is my SIL absolutely hates it and so we try to get bigger and bigger things for cock home decor each year.

My brother would probably love this place but we don't coexist on forums well. Stopped doing that after the Nexus-6 fiasco.

I did have a bit of a faux pas, I said "faggot" a few times -- and by faggot I mean like how my brother can be a tremendous faggot sometimes and not anything against my step niece or her gf. It was funny though, they looked like deer caught in head lights.

The rooster thing seems to be a tradition with my grandma as well. Her house is full of rooster stuff.
