This is something I've research a lot. Most of the early communists were true believers. Many of them gave up everything, even their lives, to make a change to a fairer system. They weren't always perfect but it was a better system than what preceeded it and what followed it.

do you see the jesuits/templars as the initial inventors of communism? you know, thomas more being part of the jesuit led counterreformation and his 'utopia'? which the jesuits put into practice on their reductions in paraguay? and finally, in the soviet union..

No. Communism is the default setting for humanity. When we were wandering around as Hunter gatherers for hundreds of thousands of years, individually we would own our tools, our weapons, our garments, maybe our shelter, but everything else, the land, the rivers, the game, was owned communally. And sometimes even shelter, caves or great houses, were owned communally. Communism is what is normal for us. That is why we keep turning back to it.

The first day Jesus preached he promised to try to inaugurate a year of our lord, a Sabbatical or Jubilee year in which slaves were freed, debts forgiven and property redistributed. When the Jews settled in Palestine they distributed the land so every family had about the same amount. They didn't want to have rich men controlling them. If they had to borrow or lost their land or even sell themselves into slavery, they agreed when a Sabbatical year rolled around again, slaves would be freed, debts cancelled and the land returned to the original owner. When Jesus preached this he was seized in the synagogue, drug to the edge of town, and they tried to throw him off a cliff (The brow of the hill) but he got away. Jesus and his disciples kept a common purse, shared what they had thus later many early Christians did the same. Even later Christians like the Shakers and Hutterites.

When European diseases wiped out the native civilization in North America the survivors fell right back into the default communism. It's what's normal for us. Part of our DNA.

Wonderful sentiments but I see no resemblance to the present democratic party. :-)

Yes, very few. But they are the lesser tool of evil capitalists.

I think most of American politics these days is a struggle between the party owned and controlled by the maximally evil capitalists, ie , the republicans, and the somewhat less evil capitalists, who own and control the democrats, mostly.

We really need a revolution, but I don't believe we'll get one till we are in collapse. Then we will eat the rich, then most of us will die ourselves, the biosphere having been killed by capitalism, overpopulation and consumerism.

I have less and less hope. I try to remember that people have organized and changed things for the better before. So good can triumph. But it's hard to remember.

i saw you posted yuri bezmenov. he is telling it as it is when saying that the revolutionaries think they are fighting to change the system to a one where they will be in power. but, no. once they did the dirty work and the 'revolution' is over they will be lined up in front of a wall and be shot.

the elites at that point dont need revolutionaries any more. they need 'normalization'.

good old yuri.
