I'll be voting for Jo Jorgensen from the Libertarian party. Some may say that voting 3rd party is a wasted vote, but I believe the only wasted vote is validating a corrupt system by voting for 1 of 2 preselected candidates that don't represent my values. I see it as a form of outreach and letting people know there are other options outside the false dichotomy of R and D.

Still, I believe that change must ultimately come from the local level which is why it's important to run for local office and sit on local boards. I also recommend researching and pushing for Ranked Choice Voting). Maine has adopted it statewide so it can be done, it will face a lot of opposition from the establishment parties though.

All great points.

I'd consider running for my local Green Party if only to be able to openly challenge things local, regional, and nationally on a soapbox. I'd have to come up with some stuff to push, some unique media-worthy stunts, etc. And of course I'd have to be ready to take the hits.

Ultimately, IMO, if voting were effective they'd make it illegal.
