Sorry if this comes off as a little dickish, but the film has serious problems. Upvoted it anyways because of how rare it is for me to see anti-vax documentaries; it is pretty interesting, even if incorrect.

  1. First off, it definitely is not a neutral party giving an unbiased accounting. The film is directed by the same person who caused the anti-vax alleged hoax.

  2. The film is not rigorously researched and evidenced in its claims. It is riddled with, to paraphrase the wiki page (hey, I need a refresher sometimes.), context-free statistics, emotional appeals, and irrelevant factoids.

  3. Wakefield omits important facts, like 11 of his co-contributors removing their names from the paper which kicked off the anti-vax MMR autism stuff, or his losing his medical license. Neither does it mention the many well-known problems with the paper, from manipulating evidence to conflicts of interest and other ethical violations.

It's not being dickish you are just stating facts. Andrew Wakefeild has indirectly caused the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, of children around the world because of his falsified research.

Well lets be fair if it was well researched it wouldn't have been made.

They also always seem to forget to mention the hundreds of papers published since that refute the Wakefield paper.
