I know these are random questions, but are you a Capricorn? Next random question is do you know that a parasite called Toxoplasmosis causes mental issues? This article only addresses schizophrenia, but it causes a bunch of disorders, including bi-polar disorder, depending on which part of the brain it settles in. The reason I chose this particular article is because it points out that toxoplasmosis is carried in the sperm, and 50% of the offspring of an infected male carry it. We need to determine what platform. Lemmy has a good coder base for support but Lenny is a fork with one guy who is removing the complex SWJ censorship built in. IF we had more coder guys to support that one guy and the Lenny fork then it may be worth recommending.

IMO we should establish some federation parameters first, on all fronts simultaneously, to determine how the instances in the federation will interact:

Figure out if we want to be on Lemmy or Lenny.
Create a SaidIt federation group (privately if necessary) to discuss and plan things.
Draft up some manifesto sets.
Draft up some rule sets.
Draft up some /s/Decentralize4Dummies tutorials for folks to create their own instances.
Establish better organization and management of categories / topics / subs.
SaidIt database sharing / mirroring / backup.
- Torrent share the bulk of the database (if this is possible).
- Use the SaidIt API to mirror / interact with the database.

Q: What do I mean by "sets"?

A: Creative Commons licenses come in simple clear well-defined sets. Each forum instance owner can choose how they would run it and define their forum before they even start it. In this way people should know what they're getting into before they jump ship. Also perhaps most people would chose the same set, but there are one or few who would chose a higher or lower tier for their instance. If one guy allows trolls to roam freely that could be problematic for the federation and may be blocked. He may wish to go it alone or conform and raise his tier. Same with too high aspirations. Naturally, filters would help resolve this and whether they exist or could exist is something to look into.

I can only wonder how much things might have been different if I were a father too. I am certain that after I started taking the Big Pharma poison I finally learned a lot about mental health issues, including my bipolar, ADHD, and OCD that we've always had. I didn't need or want to forgive him, but it was a huge relief to understand him - and myself, including my past of bouncing around the continent without stability - like in my youth. Not only was I the ice breaker but my brothers had more stable childhoods as my parents finally settled in Windsor.

I have 2 cats now, and even before yesterday they'd fight and dealing with them I was reminded of my parents. Perhaps as a father I might have understood him more.

From my Big Pharma poisons I was in bad shape and by circumstances was lucky enough to find a place directly across the street from them. I was in a dark place and wanted to see no one, yet ironically I crawled out of my hole as they crawled into theirs. I rarely saw them. Meanwhile, before COVID my Mom (and sometimes my dad) made weekly or twice weekly visits to my brother in South Windsor to babysit her grand kids. I had no "future" to them.

It is what it is.

I know "success" is largely bullshit, yet, in many ways it matters. You can't have beautiful women without ugly women, and there are many of both, yet only some may be considered more highly valued as sex objects - just as men are measured as success objects. Obviously this is only a superficial take on it as there's much more to life than these criteria. Furthermore, I'm now fucking 50 years old, out of shape, and with a fucked up back - yet I'd still like to be "happy". I suppose I'm like a handful of 30-50 year old women that I've seen here and there over my years. They once had all eyes fixated on their young beauty, yet older and fading they desperately do stupid things for attention as they don't know anything else. Meanwhile, "ugly" women at the same age thrive with realism, independence, experience, and wisdom without drama.

You know me online with many of my internal thoughts, but I'm pretty sure that if you knew me in person you'd soon realize I'm very independent. Though I try to be aware of what others think of me, I often don't give a shit and do my own thing anyway. Just yesterday I was discussing this getting drunk with my neighbour. He's financially set for his retirement with almost zero ambitions, so he wears what he would wear even if he were filthy rich. I'm scraping by month to month, but if I won the lottery (I'd have to play that scam), I'd have many ideas and counter-culture projects that I'd invest it in - but with extra financial wiggle room I'd employ some clothing artisans to develop MANY custom fashions, from practical to eccentric. IMO, like Burning Man, every day is Halloween. There's no shortage of 6-foot, long-haired, long-bearded, old-man get-ups I could easily wear well. One of my forthcoming project proposals will outline a way in which I just might even have a valid excuse to make this happen.

It would be nice to spend more time with Mom, though it'd be easier if she met me half way. I imagine to her I'm like my dad's mom. My Grandma was a born-again Jehova's Witness - the worst kind. So convinced their new way was the best and everyone must conform. Believe me, when I passionately go off about conspiracies I know I may sound crazy to the uninitiated and unexposed. I expect this is even more alienating from a bohemian non-conformist like me. To some I might as well try to convince them to ditch their stable committed marriages for polyamourous orgies - senseless.

Patching things up might be nice on some fronts. I suspect they might also be painful and/or a lot of effort. Sounding like someone possessed again, I know my time is limited, more than ever now and with my fucked up back - so IMO I need to use it with more purpose as wisely as I can on these projects. I can finally understand and sympathize with the unmarried Ralph Nader, though I'll have to pull some serious miracles out of my ass to actually be worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as him.

Oddly, in writing this, I've had another epiphany and project idea, very much NOT what I want to do, but very necessary I think, in order to save time from drafting all these epic, verbose, and beautifully eloquent diatribes (/s).

I can't say if flu shots were ever effective. There have been a lot of questions raised regarding this in the last year. Before that folks were pointing countless problems with the so-called solutions of the past, from polio and beyond. Many of these solutions could easily also simply be attributed to better nutrient and/or hygiene developments.

If you must get the shot, my advice: research the contents, the bad cases, the source, the chain of custody, etc.

I agree, we need to be flexible on most things.

I'd disagree regarding the Germans. Regardless of their philosophies, behavior, or leadership, they were the underdogs targeted for being critical to controlling Europe, and thus Eurasia to dominate the entire world. The irony is that the Germans, as center of Europe, despite propaganda claiming otherwise, could never conquer the world already dominated by the Anglosphere. Your compassion is always most welcomed. I suspect you're alluding to some of our communications, which I consider very incomplete. I admit that I'm a very limited human, incapable of reading, hearing, and watching everything - including everything on SaidIt and the now nearly 700 messages I should really get to - all while trying to save the world! Like my extreeeeemly neglected email, many of those messages were either important or long, read and unread, so I'd either procrastinate until I could devote my full attention or simply answer the easy ones first. This weighs heavy, but obviously not enough to prevent me from trying to keep up with current events and/or make new strides. @JasonCarswell To answer your questions: 1st) I'm located in the Pacific Northwest, USA. 2nd) I haven't discussed this with the kid if Covid and Influenza A are the same. To me, they clearly are clearly counting the flu strain deaths as Covid deaths.

Here is something I didn't know. Last time the pup was here he told me that the flu shot you could have gotten last year was to address 4 different flus. One of which (this is the interesting part) was the flu of 1918 that was the worst worldwide pandemic ever. Turns out that H1N1 strain of flu is what they call that these days, it never went away - we just adjusted to it. The flu shot addressed that and 3 other flu's. I looked it up and he was correct per the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/1918-pandemic-h1n1.html

I will likely get the Covid shot as my boy recommends it and he got his first one back in December. I have never received a flu shot in my life (unless they snuck one in when I went in the military and they gave me a crap load of shots all at once before I deployed overseas). Whereas my mother had received EVERY seasonal flu shot EVERY year stretching back to the 60's, 50-60 years. Then about 3 years back she stopped getting them as it was too much trouble to get into the doctors office. It didn't seem to bother her health in any regards - her mental facilities were top notch and sharp right up to the time she passed.

Remember that when speaking "truth to power", it is the willow that survives the typhoon. The mighty Oak snaps from the force, but the willow gently bends and survives. You've inspired an idea, that I simply can't believe hadn't occurred to me: Make a sub for A+++ CRITICAL CONTENT of concise, well produced, easily comprehended, contextual understanding for the normie sheeple, or on rare occasions longer important documentaries. He chose to medicate to remedy the bipolar - it didn't start the problem. Going to the hospital with liver problems is not "some no good reason". It seems he caught the flu there, though I don't know how sudden it was - or even how long he was initially there.

Bipolar, among other things, are in our genes and family. Manufactured society want's us to fit in their cubicle box to better "manage" and exploit humanity, and if you don't fit you get marginalized or extinguished.

My father was socially and perhaps mentally checked-out in the background for the last several years, just as I had been, on prescriptions. While they almost killed me, without more information and ability to discern the truth, I currently don't believe antidepressants killed my father. I may never know with any certainty.

I think his old age, obesity, diabetes, bad liver, the flu, and those ventilator death sentences killed him.

You write well, thank you for sharing that. My mom caught the flu at the very start of the year early Jan 2020. They were calling it Influenza A at that time. My brother got it as well and his test also claimed it was Influenza A. Influenza A was here before Covid and killed slightly over 10000 US citizens a MONTH until April 4th 2020 when the CDC stopped counting it as "flu season was suppose to be over". Influenza A deaths then dropped to zero overnight....Covid of course was skyrocketing. Identical symptoms. Interesting.

Because my mom was in Hospice for other things, and being 99 years old with a DNR, they didn't put her on a respirator, although she was wheezing, hacking and coughing and barely breathing for days. It looked like it was checkout time, but she pulled out. Eventually dieing of a bunch of other things, none related to the flu or covid. My boy works in the Covid ward of the hospital, he knows its a real thing and I would not intimate otherwise, especially to him, but there is an element of horseshittery with it.

Like you, I saw more suspicious things go on with the news in the last 4 years than I can recount. It's made me damned suspicious of all news sources now, but especially any from Jewish sources. Do you not find it interesting that the Ukrainian Scandal, where all of the major players are of the Hebraic persuasion: Alexander Vindman- jewish, both current and former US ambassadors- jewish, Burisma- Jewish, and all of the other jewish players who made 2 billion dollars of US taxpayer money disappear and when Trump tried to start a process to claw some of it back they all but locked him up and turned all of the normies on to Trump via lies in the media. BTW, I like jewish folks, I've worked for and side by side with many, have some jewish friends still - so no rancor from me about "Da jews" like some of these folks on Saidit and Poal, but that doesn't mean I want to be preyed on by anyone and when they catch people doing it they should be prosecuted.

Talked to my Windsor brother, Ben, before my home cordless phone died. If I recall correctly, it turns out my Dad was admitted on New Year's Day or Eve for liver problems, got better and came home, then later couldn't breathe and returned to hospital where they put him on a ventilator (a well documented death sentence) for a few weeks. When he was at home Mom caught the flu that he'd caught in hospital, made worse when she had a minor stroke, fall, and hit her head. Ben thinks she'll return to 95% or better after the stroke.

I feel like this is related to the sex robot episode of Futurama but can't put my finger on it exactly.

Basically men do a lot of things in their lives in order to get sex and if the ways they can get sex changes then so does what the bring to society.

So in the past men generally spent their lives trying to impress one woman so they'd do this through hard work, being a good person or being smart. If you move to men having lots of partners one after the other then the first things which go out the window are honesty and long term effort. What comes is in knowing how to say the right things to the right people at the right time whether you believe them or not and surface level, brief, flashy shows of success or kindness.

The latter is pretty much what we are seeing now and it's highly related to the rise of wokeness. There are even reports of wokefishing, where men know know full well what they are saying is nonsense but put on an act until they get their blue haired target into bed, but of course people have been doing the same things to get jobs, and get elected, for a lot longer.

You are confusing the nature of science itself with the scientific process.

When you state "science is (...)" you are, willingly or not, describing THE NATURE OF SCIENCE itself. If you wish to talk about the scientific PROCESS, then you must state it explicitly or else there can be confusion.

Actual science itself cannot ever be under critical analysis. How could it be? The APPLICATION or would-be application of science, or its principles might be, but not the science itself. What critical analysis is there to make about the fibonacci series? There isn't one. There can't be. Science is factual. One cannot do a critical analysis of a given fact, because a fact is, by definition, factually true and as such, not open for debate. Same with science.

I am sorry you feel I am not being clear, but it is you who aren't being clear. You did not write about a critical analysis of a scientific reasoning or application of said science, but about science itself. That is like having a critical analysis of the on/off state of an incandescent light bulb. It doesn't happen. You look at it, no light? It's off. Light? It's on. Nothing to debate. Science itself is like that.

Application, theories, then yeah that can be subject to a critical analysis by other experts in the field. But somebody who isn't an expert can't discuss it. For example, if I ask you to discuss (or perform a critical analysis) of mathematicians' view of the consequences for future developments of theoretical mathematics of the fairly recent demonstration of Fermat's last theorem, what can you say? One thing I see a lot when someone is trying to get their point across is people just waiting their turn to talk, and not really listening to what the other person is saying. If you really want to widen someone's perspective, you need to listen to them and really try to see things from their point of view. A little respect goes a long way.

Another thing that I've found useful conveying ideas is the use of simple examples or parables. Most people don't think in terms of numbers and statistics, so a narrative format is much more relevant.

I'm very zen when alone.

Even when I fuck up and am angry at myself I know there is no point in yelling or whatever. I just deal with it.

That changes when interactive people are around, time is limited and never paused, etc etc etc.

I'm a better editor than performer. Some people get it right first time or know how to flow with it. I'd rather work it over and over until I nail it properly. I sketch where others groove.

As for the state of "closed" or "open" about this new science, I am unsure: the course costs $2,500, which could be argued as "expensive" although learning to be a hair dresser costs easily twice that. There are no journals however, since the science is so young that there are only very few practicioners and fairly amateurish at that, from what I can tell. Still.

That's because your mind is stuck in a relative state. It could reach the absolute and that's where Life actually begins: when mind matures enough to face the Absolutes of Reality without flinching, embraces them, unites with them.

How would I explain a science to you when you don't understand its most fundamental elements? What are the implications of the verification of Fermat's last theorem to advanced mathematical theory? Can you explain that to me? Nope. Even if you could explain it, and I doubt it, I couldn't grasp it because I am not a mathematician.

How on Earth could you even think of writing such a thing as "unexplained science"? If you have a scientific mind, you understand fully that such is a red herring. Only a practicioner of a science can test the proof of that science.
