SSRI's are fucking poison. I was put on them along with adhd stimulants at 7 years old. This was in the early 90's when it was all the rage.

I do find that these drugs have a pronounced depressive effect on libido. Luckily I have not experienced that particular effect to that level of severity on zoloft, but I have had many other very unpleasant side effects as you can imagine.

I think the worst part about these drugs is how incredibly difficult they are to get off of, and as you say some of the side effects and withdrawal effects can last for months, years, or even seemingly become permanent.

I am currently in the process of tapering down my SSRI, and it is brutal. How long have you been completely off the sauce, and did you cold turkey or withdraw slowly? Curious about your experiences with getting off this poison after years of use.

Anyways man, thanks for posting about this, many people are seriously harmed by these things. I wish more people were aware of the potential harms of this class of drugs. They are not nearly as safe and consequence free as advertised.

Don't figure out how to get off them by yourself. Do it under the guidance of your doctor. Yes, doctors got you on them in the first place, but they can help you get off them as well.

Okay. For a moment it sounded like you were trying it by yourself. I've seen that go wrong with people near me, hence my concern.
