The details of how the pics were made and what circumstances are relevant are indeed important.

Seems like a good project to start with. The method is non-destructive, which means that the cells and viruses can survive the microscope.

I saw "terrain theory" criticism on that "it was not a severe disease",
but not that there were no viruses.

Viruses that are engineered in the lab to modify genes is also well-known.
So this means that some kind of biological entity exists that can modify our genes.
And this same entity can also reproduce using the same cells.
