Literally the only reason HCQ was granted an Emergency Use Authorization in the first place was because there were no alternatives. That authorization was retracted a couple months later BECAUSE HCQ DOESN'T FUCKING WORK.

No one is "tarnishing" anything. It just doesn't work. That's why people kept dying in NYC after they started using it, why most hospitals have stopped using it, and why the HCQ Emergency Authorization was retracted. It doesn't work.
