"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" is as much about control and prevention as "The Defense Department" is about defense.

I think that the CDC is actually part of the DOD. They do bio-weapon research, etc.

They're certainly part of two MICs.

1) Military Industrial Complex 2) Medical Industrial Complex
