I believe the anti-trust laws began to disappear during the Clinton Administration. Before that happened, government was much more strict about the ownership of newspapers, radio, and TV stations so that one political faction could not own all or a high percentage of media in one area. Of course, now they are 90% owned by the same people who control our government representatives. Guess who? Bring back the anti-trust laws and break up the massive corporations mentioned in the article.

Yes, also the 1996 telecommunications act was also big, it allowed for TV news media to be able to legally lie without repercussion, along with lifting several other truth-telling provisions.

    Interesting... I had no idea regarding the worth of the NFL teams in comparison, granted I don't care for sports, but OMG they're entertainers really, and they're that big??? Woah.
