That might be a bit of a stretch, especially considering families like the Rothschilds aren't even Israeli. However, Zionist elements were represented at the Jekyll island meetings where this all got cooked up.

Not just represented. The "Star of David" (Magen David = shield of David) is the Rothschild (red shield) family's own personal symbol. The Israeli Declaration of Independence was signed on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. And of course, Britain promised Palestine to the Jews in a letter to Lord Rothschild (Balfour Declaration).
