The "block" has always been and continues to be an unfinished broken feature with major issues that will lead to a shittier forum. While some individuals who block may have a bit of peace of mind, the rest of the site will suffer, and those who actually duel with those who drag the site down will eventually tire, give up, and move on.
Blocking is for lazy users.
Not moderating is for lazy admins. Forum avalanche will ensue.

Oh come on. So you're basically giving up rolling these numb minds up the hill again and again. It's suffering masking as therapy, that i'll give you. We all gotta do it anyways to grow in a vedish sense.
You fucking know that.
Like i can't force my dumbass students to finally start reading, you can't force these mostly bored script-kiddies here to behave anyways.
If i did the same my employer couldn't have any sane "engineers" whatsoever, i believe.
They look up to minds like ours anyways. If they want to or not. That's the thing. So let them look up.
It would have an big impact on people, if some of the more experienced boardies start leaving.
Never giving up is a thing, Obi Wan. And for a shitload more different reasons than just discipline.
It is leadership by example, my gay friend !
Yours sincerly: Anakin Skywalker.
Also: I'm still waiting for myself to imagine the lie that i'll start spreading here first for sure, to finally found my own church.
