Why not just use saidit instead of building your own clone? What are you trying to accomplish?

You may consider reposting this in /s/Canada.

www.metacanada.win = not bad. A good domain name. Worth sitting on.

If I were to create a SaidIt fork I think I'd relate it to Cassandra, " a woman in Greek mythology cursed to utter true prophecies, but never to be believed. " ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra Whether you are about trying to spread truths that only a minority listens to, if you start it up but no one comes, or if it becomes popular it's then sarcastic, IMO, it's a great multilayered meta meaning.

You've been here 1 day and made 1 post and 1 comment. Eventually if you like, you can be added to mod /s/Canada if that suits you. Ultimately there's really nothing to moderate.

/u/jamesK_3rd is correct, IMO, that you should utilize SaidIt. I'd also suggest waiting until SaidIt, NotABug, and others figure out how to federate and decentralize it, AND THEN open your own branch.

Better still, if you have coding skill, why not help SaidIt to decentralize and/or do other things. If you need to make money doing it then perhaps you can discuss it with magnora7 and d3rr to see what they need, then create a code-bounty. They seemed receptive to the idea. They outline what's needed for the open source, and when you achieve their goals you get the bounty. Raising the funds is the other half of it. If only there was an open forum somewhere to ask the people for their support...

Now about your site... First it's not secure with HTTP without HTTPS. Fix it.

I see: " 2020 Copyright. All Rights Reserved. The Sponsored Listings displayed above are served automatically by a third party. Neither Parkingcrew nor the domain owner maintain any relationship with the advertisers. Privacy Policy "

So far that's not very in-line with transparency, openness, copyleft, etc. Not a great start. It looks like you want to advertise and capitalize on your site. That's fine, but you will need to explain a lot more. The more transparent you can be the more success I suspect you'll find.

Based on so little I see, I can only have limited opinions. IMO, it's not a bad idea, but it's not good either. SaidIt and many other sites already exist. That market is saturated. I see ZERO that is original.

If I were you I'd consider helping build up SaidIt and WikiSpooks. -OR- You could be original and fill a gap...

SaidIt.net was originally called Anti-Extremes (ae). It was founded by magnora7 and d3rr. d3rr also runs a federated Peer Tube site https://tube.4aem.com/ called "Down The Memory Hole". Consider hosting your own Peer Tube site while being active on SaidIt to get users to embrace your Peer Tube and others more.

Better yet, create a bot that will follow everything on SaidIt and scrape all the off-site content to archive all the videos, images, websites, etc. for archiving - because "they" are often censoring and deleting content elsewhere and those records are lost forever. Use IPFS, torrenting, etc. or maybe there's already a decent archival system out there. (Also, FYI, you can archive everything that happens on SaidIt via the RSS. Eventually, hopefully it will all be available as a backup much like WikiSpooks does: https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Wikispooks:Site_Backup)

Naturally you don't want to be a centralized archive and prime target to be taken down. If you develop your system to be decentralize and/or modular, others could help. I for one would love to partake, despite my limited skills, and host a server here in my home (as I believe everyone should), in Windsor, Ontario. Among the trusted we could simply copy and mail swap hard drives rather than bother with all the web traffic. Unfortunately I am not rolling in cash to fund the building of even a modest server just yet. If you are, you can send me a box to put in the corner to keep online, and I will return it upon request. They just put in fibre upstairs so all I need is to catch him when he's home and run a cat-5 down here and I can cancel my DSL - and then I'll have waaay more bandwidth than I should be allowed.

That's my 2 cents. Also, to clarify, I'm not an admin of SaidIt, just a huge fan of them.
