why do people move to big cities like new york?

I like to live in big cities. Small cities are stressfully to me. You can the same peoples day after day. And if you don't like them ?

Are small cities stressful in your case, or just not exciting enough? ... If small cities stress you out, can you articulate how it stresses you out; even though there is more space, more green landscape, less traffic, less loud noise?
