99.999 99 % of humans can easily be intimidated by the state - or by the police, or the military, into going along with whatever horrendous project the state is pushing.

Now, the only way to stop that is to really warn people that they are ultimately personally responsible for connivance with and collusion with the crimes of the state.

That is what spiritual formation is supposed to provide - so it is the extraordinary unwillingness of the same people to move of dead zero in terms of spiritual formation that is the problem.

Nothing to do with software. Or, really, with marketing. It doesn't take much in the way of a threat to get most people to go along with ultimate evil.
