History of past 40-50 years of movies that have this theme and not one turned out well for humans. Not sure of the most famous ones but I can think of one that comes to mind the movie played out by Will Smith called "I Robot" and the quite famous "3 laws" all based on the short story of Issac Asimov back from the early 50's that turned out to be more like "the three suggestions".

This has been known about AI for some time. Years ago I watched a documentary where they had AI play AI in a game and both side would resort to cheating or glitching to win. (It was a game of tag in a maze with attckers and runners. Attackers would glitch though walls to get o the runners. Runners would find places outside the game board to hide. I'll try to find a link to it.)
