so that the 99% can be abused by authoritarians in the state
Federal oversight does not equal preventing abuse of power. By most metrics the most egregious abuse of authority is committed by centralized power. Your statement implies that the Fed is beyond being corrupted by corporate special interests......well I've got news for you little guy.

Of course not. But who do you want to apply regulations on clean water &c? This is why we have elected officials. Do you want corporations and non-elected officials to manage this?

This would apply to any of the metrics about authoritarian abuses in governments. Do you think that giving states more power over - for example - women's reproductive rights - would not lead to potential abuses of the state government? Consider the closing of abortion clinics in several states, here

No - this is not the implication. The implication is that you should vote for the person who regulates corporations, rather than let corporations and states abuse you.

To be bought off by special corporate interests, troll.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, troll.
The implication is that you should vote for the person who regulates corporations, rather than let corporations and states abuse you. You don't understand how corruption works.
It doesn't stop at a federal level. Are you 5 years old? By all historical data, centralized power commits the most abuses, troll.

Have you absolutely no ability to use logic?
WTF to you think started this process? Citizens United arranged for this, supported by Republicans (and a small number of Democrats), to make politicians rich. What do the corporations want? Deregulation. What will that do to you? Keep you poor, with poor services, and few human rights. What will stop it? New elected officials who will work for you instead of corporations. Are there any politicians with that kind of moral backbone? Not many, but yes. What can you do to get more of them? Vote out the old and vote in the new.
So you do not have the self esteem to make a comment without making an insult? You'd prefer to oversimplify everything? You'd prefer not to think about anything that exceeds the mind of a 10 year old?
More evidence that you have absolutely no comprehension of the bigger picture, and don't want to think of anything more complex than a pet rock.
