Huh, I'm in Germany and when I google saidit, I get saidit.net, and right undernath saidit.org (Said It: feminist culture and politics - they do feature some 'Thank you, Rowling' stuff but I didn't venture far) :D

But, what I think the poster meant, if you search for 'tumblrinaction', it doesn't show anymore. Didn't for me, at least, I had to add saidit and even then I only was shown a link to the stickied post, not for the popular page as usually...

I think my 'favourite' person on that thread is the - I'm guessing - guy who asks if Australia takes in people with "little resources" and upon being informed that yes, but he'll need to work 'shit jobs' if it comes down to it, immediately starts questioning what that means. Like...you can feel his thought process. "Halp, I'mma definitely, 100% gonna be hunted and murdered, can I live out of Australian citizens' pockets? No?? I'd have to work for a living??? Do peasant's jobs??? As a precious transperson???? Well, errrr....I guess it's not that bad..." The entitlement :D :D :D

Edit: And he's not the only person acting like this, sooooo many of 'em lamenting how you actually need to have at least one marketable skill and willingness to work to move there, how are there that many zero-income, unskilled people in such a f'kn niche thread

Just wait until it turns out that the culprit was of the cultural enrichment variety. Always a bit funny to watch them stutter through the I-condemn-but-I'm-not-islamoanythig-nothing-to-do-with-Islam part. Sad and scary, but also a bit funny. Like watching someone build their own gallows while loudly insisting they won't be hanged on it.

Having not lived in America for a very long time, I'm sometimes just really astonished how extremely political american ads get. Like, the only Ben & Jerry's ads I know are either cutesy/crude animations of what's in the bucket or sketches ending with how they're fair trade certified. And sure, we have the whole 'interracial couples/kids, and at least one gay couple for dating sites are a must-have' but those blatant slogans? That's reserved for political flag-waving before elections.

And the most astonishing thing to me is it doesn't seem to work, so why do they keep going? Take that odd Gillette ad with black dudes stopping white dudes from harrassing women. The one that I- and, I assume, most people form not-english-speaking places - didn't know that existed until I saw it on the web. Here, they advertise with soccer players showing off their beard styles, or fathers showing their sons how to shave, so this was a local thing. And it cost them 8 billon. Just...why? Why do things that'll cost you costumers in one of your biggest markets? This world just has gone insane.

Can you please give an example? I am struggling to see how a client ever used gender in a 1:1 setting. Usually it’s just the therapists name or “you.”

'm just curious, what kind of statements are these clients even making that would give scope for misgendering? In my own therapy I never refer to my T in the third person. She's in the room, so I say "What do YOU think?" or "I feel YOU are mad with me"..Serious question: how does misgendering even happen in a therapy session?

At least some commentators have enough brains to call her out. What kind of odd conversations does she have where you address the other person in the third person? How the fuck is she getting mIsGeNdErED in a one-on-one talk? Does she want 'you' to be replaced with 'them' as well? Is she that terrified that she'll feel it if a client might say 'she' when talking about a session with someone else? And the best she has to say is this:

Best explanation ever. But what do you expect from troons (teens?) fanfiction-ing themselves as therapists, lol. What actual professional??? would write like this???????????? (Or, as Sir Terry Pratchett put it: "Multiple ~~question~~ exclamation marks are a sure sign of a diseased mind.")

If she wants plants in that bathroom, what's stopping her from putting them there? The women's bathrooms certainly don't look like that b/c their company/school/whatever decorated it (flowery soap, fine, I can see that, but the plants, no way) - I'm willing to bet the rest of staff did that. She could do it. Perfect example of modern """activism"""": There is a viable solution right there, but they'd rather do the woe-is-me-special on Twitter, sorry, X.

All that being said, I'm a woman and in all my life, never EVER have I been in a restroom that had plants except one certain spa, and even there it certainly didn't 'smell like a waterfall' (whatever that's supposed to mean)...

Yeah, this video is horrible. Mom isn't asking questions, she's demanding (the right) answers. And what a weird, unnatural setup, with both of them glaring/staring at the camera instead of them facing each other or the kid talking about how she's feeling. Just drill-mom snapping out demands and going thin-lipped when she doesn't approve of the answer. Look at her face at the "not really-s" she's ready to jump that poor kid for ruining her grand presentation.

This woman looks angry every time this teen says "no". I honestly think this poor kid got screamed at the moment the camera was off...

Also the clipped way she's speaking, like she's interrogating or literally trying to put words into her kid's mouth instead of her speaking naturally, borders on drill sergeant vibes. I'd bet she wants to monetize this somehow. That poor poor girl.

You mean you got an injection of testosterone and it affected the way you were feeling?

I developed a hormone imbalance that means I produce too much testosterone literally all the time. It caused symptoms that made me go to a doctor to find the cause. You know what it didn't made me do? Believe I'm I guy.

The problem is that this chick hangs around the kind of people who have a hormone shot ready in their pocket to offer to people. She wants to be special. This one shot may have made her feel a tad different and now she's chasing clout and likes. It's pure brainwashing. That's the problem.
