Except Hitler's policy was not to make people identify as "German" no matter their actual race. Quite the contrary.

Even if Atatürk was his idol... he kinda deviated from him in a key point there.

Also Atatürk was a staunch laicist -- definitely not what Hitler wanted for Germania.

It baffles me how anyone can believe that if you hold genuinely leftist values (anti-patriarchy, hedonist, anti-antisemitic, pro-science, atheist/anti-theist) you could be anything but staunchly opposed to Islamism and highly suspicious of "moderate" Islam. This goes to both the right and the woke/fake left.

As for Gaddafi et al.: Jews can be socialists (Marx), Christians can be socialist (Maduro, most of Europe), and likewise, Muslims can be socialist. Doesn't change the fact that they will have to manage that contradiction in one way or the other.

Disagree. Hitler was far from a proud Christian in any substantial way.

His Christianity was purely a "marriage of convenience." He considered religion a tool to control the masses, to infuse them with the right morale (not to be confused with morals/morality). Hence his musings on what would've been the "better," "more suitable" religion for his people. It wasn't at all about receiving revelation for him. He probably considered Christianity and Islam equally fabricated folklore.

That doesn't mean Hitler wasn't spiritual, i.e., he did have metaphysical notions. His whole talk of "providence" is deeply spiritual and at least proto-theist (fate being the quasi-"God" here, though not one of any established religion).
