Did you first think you were lesbian/gay or straight before understanding you were bi? Or did you accept it right away? by usehername in Bisexuals

I initially thought I was straight since all I liked was girls at first. I imagine the homophobic town I grew up in had something to do with it too. Then I started finding guys attractive and realized I'm bi.

Do you feel that your Kinsey Scale rating is an accurate measure of your sexuality? by usehername in Bisexuals

Yeah, I'm a guy but it's pretty much the same way, just with the numbers flipped. I would have considered myself a 3 back in the 00s when feminine guys (emo/scene/etc) were all the rage, but now I'd probably be a 1 or 2 since they're much less common now.

I think instead of a single-axis scale it should have two axes, one for the range of masculinity/femininity you like in the same sex and one for the range you like in the opposite. You could then use those two ranges to draw a rectangle on a graph. Mine would be a short range on the feminine side for guys and a wide-ish range in the middle for women.

How do you personally go about "Dropping the T" this month? by usehername in LGBDropTheT

All I can do is cringe under a rock. I wish I had a way of discreetly telling people that "LGBT" just means "T" nowadays, because if speaking outwardly about it doesn't get me banned, it gets me dogpiled (usually with the Stonewall Retcon).

About the only recourse I can think of would be to "play dirty", do things like exemplifying the worst of them using sockpuppets. But not only would that blow up in your face if you're caught, it would also give ammo to the "this never happens!" crowd by letting them claim that every trans person who makes them look bad is just a sockpuppet/plant.
