Queer is a slur. Stop using it.

it is my observation that homosexuals cant seem to decide what is acceptable to them and what is not acceptable to them. For example, one time i made a comment to gay person where i commented something about his "lifestyle", and he about came unscrewed telling me that being gay is not a lifestyle and that being gay is something that you are born with..

ok, i said to him, but why dont you take that debate up with out magazine first, i suggested.

and then, regarding your claim that the term "queer" is a slur, i slightly disagree and i am fairly well versed in these topics since i have grown up around quite a few queer men, and they regularly call each other "queer"..

this thing where you say that "queer" is a slur reminds me a bit of how black people dont like to be called the "N" word, but for real for real black folks use the word frequently..
