An 88-year-old professor in Georgia resigned in the middle of class because a student refused to wear a mask over her nose: "That's it. I'm retired." by [deleted] in Coronavirus

This is in miniature several aspects of the rapid decline of America. At 88, the professor is teaching out of a wish to help the next generation, not out of a need for the money. The student has no clue, and does not care that she might be the gun that shoots the professor dead.

Another view illustrates why we need term limits, to get people who think they are irreplaceable out of lifetime employment , to make room for other people to have the opportunities they had. Professors and politicians over 65 should be retired like the rest of us. Give other people a chance, people who have fresher ideas.

When are leaders going to see that this does not work? The death toll in vulnerable communities is way too high.

Being a Luddite, the issue to me looks like a theft of service attack, because the IP2 post seem automated if you select All and New. Why can't they have thier own little world where they post every 30 seconds about innate shit? Do they need attention so much they have to deluge a public forum? Grow up.

He was killed by his own because he would not accept the narrative that kept people down. Pretty much all of us today- every color of the rainbow, don't matter. Except for the powers that be.

From another point of view, Hawaiians and old people at risk stand a very high chance of being killed if this woman's friend of a friend of a friend comes to visit us. Does her right to drop-in, drop-out of our home to take a couple of selfies over rule our right to live? The f... arrogance of these potential murderers is beyond the beyond. Would you be so righteous if she landed in Hawaii and started shooting randomly with an AR-14? Same result, although the she could be patient zero for 100 deaths.

I remember this: the well-armed militant group took over the building and the neighborhood, firing at police with rifles and such. The police were either chasing a felon, or tried to serve a warrant on one the group was harboring. The mayor took quick action to close a volitile situation with a surgical strike that spread to some sor rounding buildings. Most of the people killed were the criminals initiating the armed standoff. Why were they firing at police with kids in the building? They are the murderers.
