reddit mods these days by [deleted] in MeanwhileOnReddit

I think it's interesting to see how power-tripping mods are ruining Reddit.

For instance, I generally post in "local" subs, because they tend to be more balanced than the big subs like "news", "worldnews", "politics", etc.

I've learned to avoid saying anything Conservative, because that's the fastest way to get banned on Reddit. There's an obvious bias against conservative Redditors.

The subreddit for where I actually live is a complete bore. 90% of the posts are pictures of sunsets, and the other 10% of the posts are anti-Trump, and aren't even on-topic.

The other day, I called someone out on my local sub, because they were spamming dozens of local subs with the same anti-Trump meme. It had literally nothing to do with the city that I live in, they were just posting it on every local sub they could find.

I got banned for calling them out.

This seemed remarkably petty; the poster was clearly breaking Reddit rules, and I got banned for saying that?

So I went down the rabbit hole of seeing who the mods were, only to discover that it was one dude, with two sock puppet accounts, along with six other mods who haven't been active in years.

After realizing this, I suddenly realized why the sub was such a bore: there was one person on a power trip, banning everyone who wasn't interested in:

  • pictures of sunsets

  • and anti-Trump posts

One person had turned a sub for a city of a million people into an echo chamber.

This type of behavior is bad for Reddit itself, because Reddit dies when the place turns into one big echo chamber. It's boring.

The police left him a voice mail.

That's it.

That was the entire punishment, a voice mail.

I'm watching America First with Nick Fuentes right now and he brought up a very good point about this situation. Do not join any official organization with slogans, logos, etc.

My grandparents were interned in a concentration camp. They gave similar advice.

Basically, a lot of people in the camps wound up there due to information they'd volunteered years earlier.

That's not true. Here's their press release.

If you read between the lines, BofA is basically saying that they'll continue to lend to Black communities, which was something they were doing already.

"Bank of America has pledged $1 billion over four years in an effort to help businesses recover from the coronavirus-induced recession, with an emphasis on those owned and operated by people of color."

you never hear about floyd who had a cocktail of illegal drugs in his system at the time.

Floyd worked at a night club, and so did the cop who arrested him. Anyone who's been to a night club knows that bouncers often sell drugs as a side hustle. The nightclub that they worked at was closed, due to Covid.

Something that I've wondered, is if Floyd was trying to sell his stash. And if he ate it, because he didn't want to go to prison.

Here's why this would make sense:

1) if you're a bouncer with a side hustle selling drugs, and the club closed, you'll have drugs that you need to sell.

2) drug dealers often don't know the purity of what they sell

3) you can eat heroin without harm; heroin doesn't get you high unless you inject it or inhale it.

4) if you eat fentanyl, it can kill you

Add all these up, and it makes me wonder if Floyd had drugs to sell, thought they were heroin, but it was actually fentanyl. And he accidentally poisoned himself.

Disney in major financial trouble (07/9) by BigNoseFloyd in whatever

It's amazing how ONE woman has cost Disney billions.

Karina Longworth worked as a teacher at a university. On her podcast, she's talked about how much she resented her students. Basically she wanted to promote Art House films, and they liked SciFi.

Later, she married a talented director named Rian Johnson. Johnson had done fantastic work before he met her, including what many regard as the best TV show ever: Breaking Bad.

After they married, Johnson's work began to ooze themes of social justice. Johnson arguably ruined Star Wars single handedly, but methinks his wife helped.

After trashing Star Wars, Longworth turned her guns on Song of the South, and produced an NPR series of podcasts about Disney's racism.
