So you admit that TIMs suffer the same plight as other women and should work together with them for the benefit of all women including transwomen?

Most women

I would be careful of mistaking yourself to be most women.

Probably because I'm not a misogynist here to put women in any sort of place...

Well, we are fighting for our own rights, and apparently making enough progress that it's enough of a concern that this community exists to consolidate an effort to fight against its influence, and I feel compelled to hear your thoughts to make sure you don't get left behind.

As to your question, well, even if you don't accept a transgender person as their identified gender, you still have female to male transgender people (who you believe to be women), and transitioning is an expansion of the woman's right to control her own body as she sees fit. This is one, of many, examples of how transgender rights supplement, expand, and improve upon womens' rights.

My question in this thread is, why aren't you trying to use the transgender movement to your advantage?

That's not something to owe us, we're clearly doing just fine without the members of this subs input... it's more something you owe yourselves.

I really can't take seriously someone who punctuates their post with an "I'm rubber you're glue" type response.

This was already corrected in the comment above so I will not bother.

It really wasn't, the original author they were quoting was quite adamant that the conclusion being pushed is not supported by current data and requires further research.

You are being deliberately obtuse and misrepresenting my comment on purpose because that is the only way you can argue with it.

Not really. This is the fundamental idea behind your comment. If you don't want to recognize that... therapy would be more productive than saidit and I'm not a therapist.

here in the UK they are safer than women, statistically 0 trans people get killed a year.

... You are aware that absence of proof is not proof of absence right?

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) confirmed to FactCheck that “it is not possible to identify transgender victims in current homicide statistics” and “the sex of a homicide victim is determined by the police force that records the crime”.

In other words, there is not yet an official, standardised method for recording the deaths of trans people across the UK. The ONS told FactCheck they are working across government to “develop clear harmonised standards” for collecting data on sex and gender.

Honestly, do you ground your views in reality at all?

This particular concern is one that I agree with wholeheartedly so long as post-op transwomen (with convincing results) are included in your definition of lesbian.

If you don't like male anatomy... a pre-op atrophied male anatomy is not going to be anymore appealing. Hell, some post-op results aren't going to be terribly convincing either.

As for how that got mixed into trans activism or why it's a thing... I don't know, this isn't a faction of trans activism I agree with or support necessarily.

My best guess is that the misandry I see on this sub and/or similar "Hate for the sake of hate" type attitudes probably lead to this getting fought against rather than supported. I really have no idea though.

Even in cis-gendered dating, if someone wants to only date people with specific attributes that's a commonly accepted thing. If that specific attribute is the non-existence of male anatomy or existence of female anatomy, I don't see why that is any different.

In the context of the 5% figure you are quoting, Ross Tucker on twitter said:

The problem, of course, is that these comparisons are in non athletes, so both baseline and subsequent training induced changes are not directly assessed.

The person you are quoting said "More, higher quality, research needs to be done." and explicitly was trying to avoid making the exact definitive argument you are misusing their words to present here.

The problem is that you are taking arguments you barely understand, throwing them together in ways that are not sound, and hoping the formality of the wording intimidates people into backing down.

I wholeheartedly agree with more research needing to be done in terms of the fairness of competition. Which is really only important for the 7% of high school athletes that may actually go on to play college-level sports.

An overwhelming majority of high school athletes are going to only be enjoying the social aspects of high school sports. The team bonding, personal development, and so forth that comes from that.

If you were making the argument "Transgender athletes are not to be eligible for scholarships, including transmen participating in male sports" sure, I think that compromise could be made so that transgender people get the social experience they are seeking while protecting the kind of opportunities for elite athletes while not encouraging doping.

But you're not, your focus seems to be entirely on "How do I make hell for people I don't like?" which hate-based irrational thought doesn't really improve society and probably is why this sub got banned. If you had a genuine concern for the well-being of everyone (not just groups you are a part of, I.E. had some shred of empathy) you might be more heard / respected.

It doesn't really, the points you've raised are best summarized as:

  1. Not understanding how estrogen causes muscle atrophy and often trans people's testosterone levels are kept low enough that they often are at a competitive disadvantage relative to their peers.

  2. One person was bad and they had a penis, therefore all people who have had a penis are bad.

  3. Your point on pay gaps is actually the most reasonable if not for the fact transgender people often are discriminated against more harshly if not outright murdered.

If my question had been "How are participants of this sub ignorant enough to believe trans rights dilute women's rights?" this would have answered that in spades though.

Between this and the person who thought it was relevant to actually try and argue a link between women's rights and African children, this sub gives a "We're only just barely more coherent than flat earth conspiracy theorists" vibe.
